Program format: online lectures and webinars, frequency: one weekend per month
Requirements for participants
  • 1. Availability of higher psychological or related (pedagogical, medical, social) education
  • 2.⁠ ⁠The presence of completed or completing education in any psychotherapeutic modality
This standardized sex therapist training program is conducted under the auspices of the European Federation of Sexology. The teachers of the program are members of the Board of the Federation, recognized experts in their field.

Participation in the program provides an opportunity to become a member of any of the professional European sexological communities that are part of the Federation, as a psychotherapist-sexologist. This aspect of the program is taken into account by European employers as an important element of professional qualifications.

The program also includes admission to the International Standardized Sexology exam EFS & ESSM. More information about the certification exam can be found here

  • Dr. Goran Arbanas, PhD, MD, FECSM
    Associate Professor of Psychiatry, psychiatrist, forensic psychiatrist, psychotherapist, group analyst, sex therapist. Treasurer of the European Federation of Sexology and former President (2007-2020) of the Croatian Association for Sexual Therapy. He works at the University Psychiatric Hospital of Doctors in the Department of Forensic Psychiatry. For the last 15 years, she has been working in an outpatient clinic for sexual problems. He has published numerous scientific articles on sexuality and a textbook on sexual medicine for medical students (in Croatian). He is a forensic expert in the field of psychiatry and sexology, and also works with people who have committed sexual crimes, has been trained in paraphilia and pedophilia (the BEDIT program in Berlin). He teaches "Human Sexuality" and "Clinical Sexology" at the University of Rijeka for students of medicine and students of nursing and obstetrics
  • Maia Tchavtchanidze
    A doctor with more than 35 years of experience as a clinical sexologist, one of the initiators of a multidisciplinary approach in sexual medicine in post-Soviet Georgia, one of the founders of the Department of Sexual Medicine at the Tbilisi State Medical Institute and later the private outpatient clinic "League" for sexual disorders in Tbilisi. A practicing clinician who works with a wide range of patients with sexual disorders. She has made a significant contribution to the field of female sexuality and raising awareness of sexual issues among doctors. She has experience teaching medical students and residents and is committed to improving the practice of clinical sexology throughout Georgia. Since 2022, the owner and doctor of the online clinic "Meoclinic", working with Georgian patients from different parts of the world. A licensed sexologist in Georgia.   • Dr. H. Eli Joubert
    The consultant is a clinical psychologist, a psycho-sexologist and a specialist in gender issues. He has several professional registrations in the UK, and is also registered with some European and international professional organizations. He is recognized by the Government Office for Equality and the UK Courts and Tribunals Service as a specialist in the field of gender dysphoria. He works for the National Health Service of Great Britain as a clinical director, and also has a large private practice.   • Tiina Vilponen
    A specialist from Finland dealing with issues of religion, relationships and sexuality. The main job is to train future sexuality counselors, sex educators and sexuality counselors in Finland and Estonia. In addition, he is qualified to work as a clinical supervisor and mentor in the field of sexology. Committed to providing high-quality, safe and inclusive education
  • Dr. Tal Pelag-Sagy
    Clinical psychologist and supervisor of sexual therapy. He teaches at Ben-Gurion University, works in a private clinic and provides supervision at the Rotem Center in Jerusalem. She lives in Kibbutz Dvir in southern Israel, is married and the mother of three children. Member of the Board of the European Federation of Sexology (EFS) and former head of the Scientific Committee of the Israeli Society of Sexual Therapy (ISST). He practices integrative therapy and specializes in EMDR, Acceptance and Responsibility therapy (ACT), hypnotherapy, biofeedback and circuit therapy. In his practice and research, he pays attention to the integration of third-wave methods in sexual therapy, states of self and sexuality, as well as the relationship between BDSM and trauma

  • Michal Luria
    Gynecologist and sex therapist. She is the President of the Israeli Society of Sex Therapy (ISST) and the former president of the Israeli Society of Sexual Medicine (ILSSM). Dr. Luria has been the head of the Sexual Health Center at Hadassah Medical Center on Mount Scopus since 2004, and since 2017 has been the Clinical director of the Israeli Sex Therapy Center Rotem Center in Jerusalem, Israel. Dr. Luria also directs the course "Introduction to Human Sexuality" at the Hebrew University School of Medicine in Jerusalem and has created the "Grow Together" program for adolescent sexual education with their parents. Her clinical work includes the treatment of sexual problems in people and couples from different social groups, with special attention to the sexual well-being of women, adapting the approach depending on the cultural and religious background of each patient.
    Dr. Luria has collaborated on a number of research projects both locally and internationally. She is Co-chair of the Committee on Aging, Sexual Health and Sexual Dysfunction in the Elderly for the International Consultation on Sexual Medicine (ICSM) 2024. She also served on the Board of Directors of the International Society for the Study of Women's Sexual Health (ISSWSH), the Executive Committee of the European Federation of Sexology (EFS) and was Co-Chair of the EFS Scientific Committee
